To be sure, no mean technical challenge! Through the fantastic organ technique of Henco de Berg, everything sounds very supple and natural. The enormous drive in Reger carries you along in this most complicated music. The Stahlhuth organ seems to be made for it, and a great range of wonderful colours can be heard.

In l'Ascension is both ecstasy and tranquility. The 4th movement is exceptionally beautiful.

By far the best CD production I have had in my CD player for months. De Berg is at home in both composers: he has a flawless command of the pieces and their performance. I must warmly recommend this recording!
